The storm continues to brew while the situation continues to stay quiet on the surface. But we all know it—a perfect storm is approaching. If it’s approaching slowly, the actual storm will be quite big. We don’t get to see much of RideBack action again, but we shouldn’t lose our hope.

In this new episode of Hajime no Ippo: The Fighting – New Challenger, Ippo faces a new challenger. But does this new challenger know how to fight? Or will he simply button mash and still manage to pull of a 37-hit combo?
And seriously, “Hammer Nao”? Why didn’t they just name him “Punchy McPunch”?

“Have you ever wanted to be reincarnated?”
That is the question that Oshii Mamoru, the creator of the film, asks the viewer in the movie posters, DVD packages, etc. But that is not the real question. If you ever had that chance, what would you do? When you find out that you end up doing the exact same thing in every life you get, how would you react? These human-like species called Kildren, the byproduct of medical research, live eternally as adolescents. They live forever as pilots in the cruel game of war created by grown-ups. Some enjoy the situation to its full. Some say it’s just a job and go on with their lives. Some get hopelessly confused by their own fate. Life after life.
If you are looking for some war-bird action film, this may not satisfy your hunger. If you are looking for some happy film, this is not it. It is a somewhat depressing, yet beautiful rendition of a never-ending story, originally crafted by the popular novelist Mori Hiroshi, brought to film life by, as I’ve mentioned earlier, the master anime director Oshii Mamoru. You’re in for a flight that you will not forget for weeks, if not for lives.

Finally what everyone’s been waiting for: Yaoi Ippo!
Now on to the unimportant stuff, we get to see Ippo Aoki fight. Hammer Nao proves he’s not Geromichi anymore and Ippo acts tough. As a common trend, Ippo does nothing. You could even say this episode is an Aoki one, because Ippo NC is a fighting anime and the only one that fights, unfortunately, is Aoki. Come back next week when the real action will begin.

In this new long awaited episode of Candy Boy we finally get to see more of Kana finger sucking Yuki… or not. Disappointed, huh? As expected this is a typical penultimate episode where nothing important happens and leaves you wanting for more! We’re very sorry if you expected to see more “hardcore” yuri action, we’ll all have to wait for the final episode. See you in around three months (hopefully less)!

After Rin was abducted from the transport car which should transport her to a GGP prison, she now is held captive by a resistance group led by the same mysterious guy who helped her breaking through the GGP lines in episode 04:
Now… as handsome as he might be – is he a friend or a foe? And who exactly is Okakura – and what business does he have with those resistance folks? Watch and find out!

By now, a lot of us are wondering when we get to watch more about Ippo, and get to see his match. We’ve seen Miyata’s and Date’s matches so far. They were great and all… But it’s about time. Yes, we’re finally going to see who Ippo’s going to face next. And see how scary he looks…
