Here’s Basara 03, an episode where people talk about love, food, and conquering the land. With all the conversations taking place, the underlying theme of “What is true, and what is a lie?” sort of underlies as a theme, but not really. The more important questions are stuff like, “Is it really better to have someone take care of you than you running around stabbing people in the face?” And “Is your wife’s food the best simply because she could probably beat you up if you say otherwise?” The answers to these questions—and more!—will not really be answered in this episode. Why? Well, because it’s only episode 03. If all the questions were answered now, well, that’d make the rest of the series sort of pointless, wouldn’t it?

We drive headfirst into further annals of the Sengoku era, with the v2 of episode 1 (this time retaining all of the series’ historical context) and episode 2 of Sengoku Basara. The second episode brings us the famous Battle of Okehazama, which heralded the grand entrance of the Devil King of Owari, Oda Nobunaga, and signaled the demise of Imagawa Yoshimoto, one of the most prominent warlords of the time.

We’ve also provided historical notes for episode 2, and expanded upon the historical notes for episode 1, for those who want to gain a finer understanding of the series’ historical background.

^_^ Here we present you with the second show we picked from this spring list. This show caught my attention when first it was announced… because it was Production I.G?!

Some of us in here are Production I.G freaks ^^; 95% of their shows proved to be goood.

Honestly, don’t know what to say more than seeing ep1 made me happy that sweet ariato decided to do it ^_^;. Sanada is just awesome!! BASARA is an action, samurai, historical show focused on these 2 heroes of 2 clans. Read more about it in anidb or just watch ep1 and enjoy ^_^. Since it is set sometimes back in time, ariato piled up some historical notes for those interested in reading beyond.
