K-On!! – 08

It was Kimi Todo earlier, and now K-On.  The show was replaced by some somber looking office anime.

We’re gonna release this episode anyway.

This is my second installment of “you should give your guitar a name” speech.

We’ve seen that Yui gave her Les Paul a dear name “Giita.”  This time, we see that she calls Mio’s Jazz Bass “Elizabeth.”  (It’s a beesu, so Erizabesu is a perfect name. Get it?)

So, what about you?  Azunyan was inspired by Yui’s guitar naming, and gave her Fender Mustang a name too.  See it for yourself in this episode.

By the way, it really seems like there’s a shift away from music this season.  This is actually the first time that we’ll get to hear a song in the episode.  In the last season, it happened already in ep 1, although it was an instrumental one.

It seems KyoAni had to off-load the work to some foreign animation studio.  Srsly, what’s wrong with their eye brows?

I’m so sorry that this had to be the first thing you see after coming back to frostii.com.

K-On!! – 04

Thursday, April 29th, 2010

As I lived closer to Kyoto than Yui and Co. does, my school trip to Kyoto happened when I was in 6th grade.  We did visit Kinkaku-ji like they did.  This was a year before the restoration of 1986-1987, so the main building was nowhere near as shiny as it looks now.  I know I wasn’t too terribly impressed by how it looked back then.  Nontheless, Kyoto is pretty fun place to visit.  If you get a chance to visit, you should try visiting Kyoto, even if it’s a cliche spot, along with making anime pilgrimage to Akiba etc.
