Once in a while, I get a question “how do you change your avatar on this blog? Like when I leave comments and such?” The answer is very trivial – Gravatar. You go to gravatar web site, register your avatar along with your email. And whatever email address you use in the comment will be the key to use your avatar. Your email address is still not revealed to the public.
I know many of your already have gravatar. But it’s time to see more of it! Show your fandom! Register your gravatar today!

Earlier today, we released a promo video for one of the shows we liked. Of course, that isn’t the only show. Some of the shows we are thinking for January 2010 include:
- Ookami Kakushi – as you saw in the last post. Pending the full compatibility between the translator and the show confirmed—we’re on
- Nodame Cantabile Finale – I will continue working on this show personally
- Lupin III the Last Job – slated to be aired on Feb 12. I’ll work on this too
- Boku Otariiman – 40 minute OVA. Also my project.
- Musashi the movie – this might be oversubbed… but we like it enough that we want our own version
- Omamori Himari – not sure at all yet, just like Ookami confirmed—we’re on
- Dyurarara!! – not sure on this either, just like Ookami confirmed—we’re on
Does that sound like we’re stretching ourselves too thin? We should have ourselves covered pretty good. There are some very excited members for each and all shows I just listed.
What do you think?
updated 1/12: all shows are now confirmed – we’re doing ‘em all.

Here’s another announcement of dropping project. The project team has pretty much been disintegrated, and there’s very little interest both from the team and the fans. We’re going to drop this now and free ourselves from this pain.
Long live dropii!

To put a stop on some very frequently asked questions… here’s some reconfirmation of stuff we’ve dropped.
Eden of the East – it’s complete, but now we pulled the plugs on all torrents because of the recent licensing announcement by Funimation.
Charady’s Daily Joke – this droppage is pretty much due to the staff falling off of the planet… Maybe it was too much pressure to see a fresh episode mounting on their queue every day.
Sengoku Basara – this one too was licensed by Funimation recently.
Ristorante Paradiso – some of you may remember the C&D fiasco involving Crunchy Roll. Frostii officially dropped the project after receiving C&D on two fronts. I heard the project itself got carried over to somewhere underground… but I really don’t know where it went from there.
Everything else – even if you haven’t heard any news on the show you’ve been waiting for in 7 months, the project is still alive. (The only projects I’m not sure about are some old Ureshii’s DVD projects, like Asatte and H2O… I think those might be dropped too? Can someone confirm? Answer: Asatte will be finished; H2O will not be redone.)

We made some large quantity of releases in past couple of days. Some of them were fixes from the past. Some fresh releases already had version2 to fix some stuff. As it turns out, there are *more* stuff that are bad. Please accept my humblest apologies for all bad releases we’ve made. As soon as I get everything back in the order, I will list all blunders, and publish some fixed releases and patches, explanation of what the fixes were, etc.
These errors have been identified from these recent releases.
- Charady’s Daily Joke episodes 31 and 35—bad screen aspect ratio (that means they need version 3 releases) – Patch file
- Ristorante Paradiso episode 4—font attachment is missing – Patch file
- K-On! episode 6—audio is behind the video – Patch file
As you can see, we are posting the patch files for. New torrents for all new versions are available as well.
In the future, I will personally make sure that all releases will be free of these technical errors. This may delay each releases slightly, but I’m sure everyone would rather have trouble-free viewing experience than rush jobs.

The simple answer: No.
I think every other comments we’ve been getting lately have been of this nature. I’ve been deleting every one of those comments. The rule of thumb is, unless it’s announced otherwise, nothing is dropped. Things can be slow, but that’s that, nothing more – just slow. So be patient with us. Every shows that’s been promised up to this point WILL be released.

I saw a big excitement among the team members and fans following the release of Eden of the East. Also came was a flood of question – is this project done, what about that? This is what’s going on:
- K-On: This is getting close to releases, and should be out within next couple of days. We plan on making two releases – low resolution, full screen version, and wide screen, high resolution version. High resolution version will trail the low res one by about 3 weeks.
- Ristorante Paradiso: This is in progress as well. This one is a bit behind the other two.
- RideBack episode 12: This is also close being done. This should be out by this weekend.
- Lupin vs Conan special: Quality checkers are now hard at work, squishing all bugs and errors. I’m going to risk and say this will be out by the end of the month.
- Gosenzosama Banbanzai: We have full intention of continuing with this project. But no further translation has been completed as of yet. (I think episode 5 is partially done.) This will be out when it’s ready.
- Black Jack: Episode 46 is nearing release. No work has been done on episodes 47 and on, but we’ve secured next 3 volumes of DVDs. We also are finalizing renewed and dedicated group for this project. I hope that the pace will pick up.
- Nodame Cantabile Paris Chapter: The team now wants to release the rest of the episodes in one go. Episode 6 is done. Episodes 7 through 9 are almost done. Translation for episodes 10 and 11 are done. This will definitely be out by End of May.
- Yoshimune: Next couple of episodes have been translated. This was always a side project for all parties involved, so this will continue to move slow.
- Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto – Natsu no Sora: Ureshii and A-Kraze are still working on it. That’s all the information I have of this one.
- Charady’s Daily Joke: I give you a fair warning—we won’t be releasing episode 12 for the time being. We’ve looked everywhere, but we can’t find the source video. We are continuing our work with episodes 13 and up. I’ve just been told that we now have the source for episode 12. We may release some episodes out of order, but they will come. Now I’ve been told that the raw file they found was corrupt. We’ll be searching for it again…
- Candy Boy episode 7: The production team has not announced the release date of this episode yet. As soon as I hear a news on this, I’ll relay the message here.
- Skip Beat: Ureshii and Yoroshiku are planning to finish up to episode 12 before dropping the project.
As for the question about those shows licensed by Crunchy Roll – the group consensus was that their quality really warrant a better version by fansubbers. It wasn’t really because of our hate toward their business practice or anything else. Also, Frostii is different from Froth-Bite. We may not drop licensed shows. We’ll decide on them on case-by-case basis.
Any other questions?
