So I just figured out why the girls in the opening and ending sequences of K-On!! are holding instruments. Did you know that “K-On” is short for “Keion-bu,” which means “Light Music Club,” which in turn means that K-On!! is about a club that plays light music? I was just shocked— shocked!—to learn this. I had no idea that this series was about music!
Anyway, we’re nearing a regular schedule again for K-On!! now that Sylf is back. 15 has been released (or will be real soon), and 16 is being edited right now. We’re also thinking of doing the K-On Live Event, but it’s likely we’ll only be translating the emceeing and skits, not the songs. Datte hontou wa really lot of work.

No, in fact it does not.. there are too many candy-kawaii-ish otaku-snuggeling episodes without anything related to music (if you ask me). The new ending was my favourite part of ep 14. But I hope that changes when Jun joins the club
Agreed. I did very much enjoy the Music Fest episode, though, reminded me of Beck. Shame they didn’t get to play on a smaller stage like them, but I guess they’re not ready yet. It’s a bit ridiculous that we haven’t seen them play at all yet this season, though.
Episode 8, Pure Pure Heart. Not a performance that screamed “OMGWTFAwesome”, but a performance nonetheless.

Sometimes I think it’s criminal to enjoy K-On!(!) this much, but I guess entertainment is entertainment, no matter how “brainless” it is. That said, I’d be grateful if you could sub the live event! Bah, who needs to translate the songs anyway?

It would be nice if you’re did the Live Event. I hope you guys do it. I knew K-On! by the soundtrack, so it’s not a surprise to me the fact that the show “it’s about music”. I dunno, it’s pretty clear to me.

You don’t have to do all the songs if you really don’t want to, though translating ‘Maddy Candy’ would be VERY nice, as that doesn’t seem to have an English translation, while all the other songs do.

If it’s a full ISO image, you can put it on a 64GB thumb drive and ship that to our encoder.
I can’t manage to download the full ISO, I’m still searching for one.^^ I just download some nice quality versions. 4gb file size, good quality version, but there is a 7gb file which they said having a much better quality when it comes to the image resolution.

Ah, and here I was thinking of subbing the K-ON live event. If you guys end up doing it, that would be super hella cool. Even if you don’t sub the songs, all I’d have to do is pay a visit to any generic anime lyrics site and find them there.

I’ve watched the “Let’s Go!” live event a couple of times, and really enjoyed it. My rudimentary knowledge of Japanese (plus common sense) has allowed me to pick up some of the stuff they’re saying, but some things (like the skit around the club table) are totally lost on me. It doesn’t really matter about the lyrics; the music is what’s important in a song. I don’t know the lyrics to half the English songs I love, let alone the Japanese ones.

I literally just purchased this this morning lol, so if something like this would work out then I wouldn’t mind lending you my copy. Unless you needed it to keep or whatever.
