I waited so long for this until i gave up and followed neko. U probably shld drop all the shows and focus on the 2 main ones u mentioned. K-ON and Rainbow.
you guys dropped katanagatari and not this rubbish anime? (yes, ive already finished watching it and i think its rubbish) its already been subbed too…
Compare the two projects and where they are at. And try to see how much work each of them would take to complete them. 4eps/25min vs 10eps/45min. The choice was clear.
yes… but katanagatari releases once a month (i think), meaning less work per time period. and your still on schedule for that.
whereas your way backlogged on ookami kakushi, which is already fully subbed by other groups, whereas katanagatari was only being subbed by you guys.
im sure you guys have your reasons and you wont change your decision, but i do hope that more consideration can be given to the pros and cons in future other than 4 x 25 < 10 x 45…
For one thing, we are not the only one who has been releasing Katanagatari. Mazui also does. I can’t say anything about their quality or anything, since I’ve never checked it out.
Between those two projects, both had pretty low team support as they were slowing down. Katanagatari is already 2 months behind the schedule, soon to be 3. Keeping a project that last longer means we have to be able to account for the project for that duration. It’s much easier to finish a project that we know we can handle. My personal priority is to minimize the number of project we have to drop.
Typesetting (signs) is also a problem. Ookamikakushi is significantly easier in this department. And all resources and situations considered, it is much easier for us to manage Ookami project than Katanagatari.
I’m fully aware how this decision has disappointed so many. I can clearly see it from number of comments posted here, and I that’s only a tip of the iceberg. It’s not an easy decision to make. But it had to be done.
