The title says it all – this is the very final chapter of Nodame story. Nodame has taken some detours. So did Chiaki. Heck, so did I. But here we are, with solid future in sight.

We will be subbing two extra episodes coming out next month. April 6th: the extra episode about Mine and Kiyora, and April 26th, the Opera Chapter.

It was a little bit rushed ending, but not so bad. I liked it.
Anyway, i’d like to ask that accidentally aren’t you (Frostii) planning to translate “8 gatsu no Symphony (Symphony in August)”? It’s also about music like Nodame. I’ll be very glad if you do that too.
(Sorry for my poor English, i hope that it’s still understandable.)
I’ve thought about doing 8 Gatsu. I did another movie from that studio, and it wasn’t the most exciting stuff done. We’ll have to start with if we can get the DVD or not. They only sell it on their site, and they don’t ship internationally. And besides, I have so many other things I need to be doing before considering anything else.

Someone uploaded the DVD9 of ’8 gatsu no Symphony’ on asiandvdclub.org if you still interested in. It’s untouched video, menu and audio (5.1).
I thoroughly enjoyed the last 2 seasons, but it never quite got as good as the original series. The ending’s okay, I’ve seen a lot worse. I’ll miss Nodame and Chiaki and I’ll look forward to the 2 bonus episodes =)
And where are my manners; I completely forgot to thank you, the Frostii team, for putting time and effort into this project. You’ve been releasing this one in a very timely fashion, so: double the gratitude for that!

Thank you for this wonderful translation. I read in an article that the Opera arc will have 24 chapters. I read earlier that TN felt rushed in finishing off NC manga which is why it continues in the Opera arc. Have you heard more on this and if there are 24 chapters to the Opera will the anime start again? (I will get the quotes if needed…)

Thank you for the amazing job! I can’t believe this is practically the end of it. I would really like to see more of Nodame and Chiaki and others. This anime has gradually grown on my heart over the course of its three parts, so it saddens me I will not hear Nodame’s screams, Chiaki’s rebukes, and will not see any more heart-warming scenes filled with great music played by great characters.

The anime was great, all three seasons of it. With the exception of this last episode. Wow, what a crap ending. Let me summarize it in a sentence: And then everyone went their separate ways, and our protagonists didn’t hook up.
Didn’t Chiaki say that he would say “yes” to Nodame’s proposal? Whatever happened to that plan? All I heard him say was “play piano for me.”

I thought the episode rounded off the series well, I don’t think wrapping everything up in a nice (or nasty) little package would have fit with the style of the rest of the show.

I just have to say it, but this finale left me disappointed. Half the episode was flashbacks. Was Nodame doing poorly in Japan? 44 episodes and it went nowhere. I hate it when that happens.

I can’t believe it’s the end now ;_; cause this anime is so heart warming.
Though I don’t share the same opinion like the others that the end was crappy. What do you expect? Of course they all go seperate ways, they’re students from all over the world who are aiming for their dreams xD. And it is true fact that they still have a long way to go.
Nodame is not about a closed ending but about how music brings people together even though they’re from different countries.
Anyways, thanks again! I look forward to the other two releases!
There is an Opera Hen in manga, i think that will be animated as well. At least i hope so.

alright ending, i got the feeling that a movie/ova is in the works for the real ending. guessing concert with chiaki and nodame. anyone else get that feeling, or is it 100% that it’s over?
