It’s Summer Time!

Since big cat is not around ^_^ little mouse can come out of her hiding hole and play a little 
Summer is here so, we have few news and updates for the anime fans!
First of all, current projects. We do have few releases ready to go but since the big cat is not around… we can’t do much so patience is a virtue!
Now to the new season shows \o. Some may have seen the fansub wiki and already knows what’s coming up. But will say it again here for the record ^^. We have picked the best of course ,as we always like to bring you only the best shows out there:
1- Tokyo Magnitude 8.0: This was supposed to be a solo Frostii project but our friends over ANBU thought no need for 2 quality groups to sub the same show, oversub, so we are joining our horses to bring you x2 quality release ^_^;
2- Spice & Wolf II: well, you knew this from a while since we released the ova a while ago, but there might be a change of plan as our dear Fakia has retired lately and we are still looking for a replacement. and the tv will be too \o
3- Bakemonogatari: laaaaaaaaaast but not least >_> this typeset-horror show! We haven’t announced before because we wanted to see how heavy the signs are, then how many typesetters are welling to work on it! Few hrs ago we have fed Fin, our pretty translator, with 4-5 typesetters and she is rolling as we speak. Don’t expect this show to be out regulary or fast as it is signs-heavy and it will take a lot of time to finish one ep even with 4-5 good typesetters ^_^; Let’s see how long they will last before breaking up!

Thanks a lot for doing the shows… but ya… if you also could bring Aoi Hana/Kuruneko (since no fansub group take it)
Did you pick too many shows? No, 3 shows aint too many, but together with how many? 8? others it gets kinda much… I would rather finish the others first lol
@Roby: no fansub group takes Aoi Hana? Weird, since it was already subbed by Shinji a few days ago and also by Yuurisan

Roby: After what we had with Rispara, we are not touching any show CR is subbing! So for those unfortunate like me who lives outside US and Canada, just settle with those other groups who uses CR subs in their own encode
And as I said, few shows are waiting for the big cat to show up and release them. Eden is almost done from our side so you may get 10-11 once he is back! Also whatever Saber translated of Basara before it got licenesed… those will be out too sometimes in the next decade!

@oge: no, I mean it’s Kuruneko **I should put the bracket nicely** I know Aoi Hana already been subbed a few days ago by other groups but Kuruneko… no groups touch it, even there’s no raw seen in TokyoTosho.
@jarin: me too, I live outside US and Canada… *sigh* so the only solution is just grab the other groups’ releases. Well… I just wonder how Aoi Hana would be if Frostii release it since it’s yuri and similar to Candy Boy

really interesting selection; each show belongs to a completely different genre.
First, I think I like “big cat”‘s way of writing comments way more. “Little mouse” seems to be a bit childish ? ;/
Furthermore, I alrdy thought this in the past but: Maybe you shouldn’t pick up more series up all the time as long as you arn’t even able to continue the alrdy started anime series on a steady base. It’s basically a good thing, but you seem to me like the sort of people who start many things but never finish them / stay with them till the end.
I really like the quality of your subs though which is the main reason why I still use your services and this site is still in my bookmarks. And I also like the sense of humor of “big cat”.
So please, take this as positive critic and maybe think about getting on a regular, stable release base and just AFTER that is ensured, pick up more series.
Else you have a big package of series but you randomly release very few like the weather changes.

I’m planning to sub it myself so I’m glad a good group will be subbing it. But honestly after watching the raw of episode 1… this show’s even more hardcore to type than zetsubo combined with higashi no eden or the likes…

Is there a chance that your uploads will be available on megaupload? Becouse sharing copyrighted material in my country comes with 3 years in prison so I cannot use torrents. Does XDCC Bots Listings usage involve sharing the file which is being downloaded with others?

XDCC doesn’t involve ‘sharing’ with others. in simple terms, its like a DDL(megaupload, etc.)
Im the admin of a forum, where I upload anime episodes on megaupload and also stream. I already uploaded Ristorante by another group, but i wouldnt mind uploading frostii`s version there as well. Just tell me if you want that uploaded and I will get to it. Might take 2-3days though, since I got my final exams these days…
I managed to get ristorante subbed by Frostii (at least the 5 episodes which were) but I think I may be a daily user of your site if you do this with K-on! 480p when it will be released by Frostii in 16:9. I love Frostii/Ureshii versions. If you’re able to upload 480p (I’ve got old computer incapable of playing 720p) versions of their subbed anime I’ll promote your site everywhere I’ll be able with pleasure

At this rate, you may actually be the only ones to do/get through it. Also nice to hear about the joint super-quality project for 8.0. The only sub worry left for the new season is SZS, but that's basically continuing its rank among 'those which will never see a full release, and nary a scattered one.' (Really a pity how many shows I like fall under that.)

hai… this is really confusing me, there two transalations that are totally different and i don’t know what to believe..
episode1: 10:04 This is the part wherein they are talking about Antipasto..
Shinji: We have a customer who doesn’t eat beef
Frostii: One of the customer is intolerant of dairy products
As you can see, there is a big difference between the beef and dairy products, although some dairy products comes from the milk of the cow..
Did anybody notice this difference? One more thing, i research on what they call antipasto, and this are the ingredients for it:
cured meats,
olives, roasted garlic,
pepperoncini,
mushrooms,
anchovies,
artichoke hearts,
various cheeses (such as provolone or mozzarella)
and peperone (marinated small green bell peppers, not to be confused with pepperoni).
So both of them could be correct.. if the dialogue was talking about cured meats, the CR subs or shinji is on the spot and if it is about the cheeses then frostii is correct.. So anyone knows enough japanese to tell me who got the TL correct..

Thank you for doing bakemonogatari. If worse comes to worse though and you feel you need to drop it because of the signs, forget them. Just do the dialogue, the dialogue and conversations itself are the most fascinating part of the series. I rather see something than nothing.
You can’t do a show like bakemonogatari without the sigs. It’s either sub a show completely with all the sig’s or don’t even start to sub it. Anything else’s just completely meaningless.
Frostii, finish up your current projects before boasting about what you are doing for summer. Frostii isn’t really quality as you claim yourselves to be. Be humble…
So, is Ristorante Paradiso officially dropped? Because one of the staff recently commented on the forum that it wasn’t, so I’m confused. Maybe an announcement should be made about it? I hope you haven’t dropped it as I loved Frostii’s releases!
lyanel: Antipasti have many variations, it isn’t just one dish. Antipasto/antipasti(plural) is the Italian word for appetizer. You looked up the traditional one on wikipedia it seems. If you check the menu of an Italian restaurant you’ll find many more kinds. I haven’t seen Rispara though so this may not apply to Rispara. Thought I’d inform people just in case.

In Italian, there are various typo of antipasti.
One type of antipasto are rench fries, or different typo of fried fish.
So, what Majutsushi Orphen says it’s correct ^^

Yes, I’m glad you guys are planning to do Bakemonogatari. I was worried no good groups were going to give it a shot. And no doubt I’ll be following yours and ANBU’s joint Tokyo Magnitude release. Keep it up.
Nice to see you guys picking up a few quality shows.
My only main concern is the current projects.
Perhaps it would have been better to finish these off first rather than to “lay a claim” so to speak on new series by releasing a few eps, then ultimately causing older projects to be vastly delayed.
None the less, if you think you can handle the workload, then all the best to you guys as I for one enjoy your work.

Honestly I would drop Bakemonogatari, the amount of text in each episode will have your typesetters quitting by the end of the third episode, if they even manage to make it that far. It’s not worth it to see this group die over 5000000 signs per episode.
