They speak the need of taking their axe, er, guitar to maintenance every once in a while. In 17 years of owning bass guitars, and 22 years or owning trumpets, I have never taken my instruments in for a maintenance. With my latest trumpet, it might change, but who knows? And as for the Ibaneze I had the picture of earlier? The last time I changed its strings were in 1994 – 15 years ago. No rusts. (That’s a set of medium heavy Blue Steels.) I don’t see the neck warping either. As long as these things sit in normal climate, I really don’t see the need for such serious maintenance only a year after the purchase of the guitar. If anything, the guitar should be retuned on the spot when you buy it.
There is something that Yui did that everyone should also do – name your guitar! Even the Les Paul in Beck had a name – a pretty name, Lucille. (I know, they are in totally different context, but who cares?)

You really should take instruments in for maintenance once in a while. It definitely is _not_ good for them to never have them looked at. However, Yui’s case _is_ a bit extreme. Perhaps it’s because she takes it with her everywhere, sleeps with it, etc. It’s a wonder that she doesn’t _bathe_ with it. Or maybe she did and that’s why it rusted…
You’ve never had rusted guitar strings? That’s crazy.
Also, not changing your set of strings in 15 years?! Your tone must have been terrible, lol
Bass guitars don’t need as frequent string changes as electric guitars do (1-3 months). However, having the same set of strings on a bass for 15 years is quite a stretch… you must haven’t really picked it up to play – ever.
And if you were actually playing some music instead of just watching anime about music, you’d know that there is no other famous guitar named Lucille other than BB King’s…

It is almost true that Kansas has no climate! At the very least, the place is always dry.
Kansas is most definitely Dry. Except the last couple weeks of Rain Rain Rain… but even then still Dry.

Even though I’m anxious to see the rest of Eden of the East too, I am personally glad that Frostii takes their time in working on each release (even though the last episode had that regufees typo lol).
Maybe it’s just me, but I think when you really want to know what the progress is on a release by any group, you should try doing it politely.
In any event, Frostii clearly hasn’t finished working on the rest of Eden or they would have released it. Patience is your friend. And if it isn’t your friend, remember there are plenty of other shows you could watch in the mean time if you are looking for some entertainment.
if you want speedsubs, do like all the kids do and get the hell outta here…..i think me and the other guys will gladly wait for another hq-release from our beloved team…;)
ok, as politely as I can possibly say it. why are you guys, the best fansub group of the highest caliber, taking so long to do the last 2 episodes of Eden of the East with no update on your progress on the main page at all?
not to beat the dead horse but if you’re impatient go dl the other subs imo. i think frostii’s done great in releasing timely so far and keeping up with all the anticipation with ippo and if the staff wanted to take a break for any reason theyre more than welcome to. i also respect that Frostii’s TL’ers are better than most of the other groups out there and if you want quality you just gotta wait longer…

if you want to watch it that hard go and see gg stuff(like I did).it’s not that hard…still wondering what will frostii pick up this season…
quality does take time apparently. day after day i check for the last 2 episodes of Eden of the East and still nothing. I’m going to guess it’s coming out in August. It should be really high quality! LOL! seriously, why is frosti sucking so bad lately.
Maybe Frostii is getting tired of whiny kids like yourself, ever thought about that? :O
Seriously though, it’s a free service they provide. Like bloodhunterr said, go elsewhere if you lack the patience to wait for Frostii releases. It’s not that hard to watch another group’s release and get your archive material when the group you want is done.
And you seem to forget that they may have final exams or are going on vacation, they have lives too you know? Also, being slower than other groups doesn’t equal sucking.

the guys at Frostii did so much of research and improvements to bring us Ver3’s, of course, they’ll finish Basara! (hopefully.)
wow! there’s an idea! post something about being on holiday on the main page so we don’t have to check everyday for no reason. i guess that’s too much to ask from such a quality fansub group.

as to k-on, i too am waiting for the last ep but im being patient; and knowing they are on vacation..i wait, but i don’t throw a fit over it.
as to posting in main page.. they could if they wanted to or had the time to, but i belive i saw elsewhere that vacation was comming up, so its not mission critical. just check back every few days and if its here, great, if not so be it.

seems like most people here know about his vacation….stop whining…..seriously what’s the point in making such a fuss? it’s not like the more you complain the faster the episodes are out….

My sister has a guitar that my dad owned before, it’s like 30 years old and has spent at least 10 years on the attic. The strings look almost as good as new (except a little dust on them maybe) even tough they have never been changed in my lifetime (20 years) at least. Our attic wasn’t exactly dry either. So I didn’t know that the strings rust that easily. Maybe it’s because she slept with it? The strings might have become covered in sweat because of that.
