Oh Sadaharu is one of the true legendary figures in Japan. His career home run record of 868 is greater than that of Babe Ruth (714) or Hank Aaron (755). The record wouldn’t have been the same if he played in the Major Leagues. But it still is a staggering record. He gave Japanese baseball fans something to go nuts about. So, it’s only natural for a great athletic star like Takamura to compare himself to such legend. Living up to be such a legend himself isn’t an easy task.

I’m a big fan of your subs guys but honestly, you guys are taking just a BIT too long to put out these subtitles. You guys do the highest quality job but by time I can watch the episode, next week’s is already out! I see you guys have time to sub all this other stuff so I have to ask, why such the huge delay on Ippo? It’s easily the best anime you guys subtitle.
Huge delay? That’s actually pretty normal :s We have real lives too yknow. And the team that subs Ippo isn’t the same team that subs other projects so that has no bearing on the speed of Ippo.
